I was really disapointed in this film. I had heard so much about it when it was playing in the theaters, but its kind of a flop. It's extremely beautiful visually (shot in cinemascope), but the story is lacking and doesn't develop any of the characters beyond a superficial portrait. The premise is one child dies by an accident while playing with three others. The three struggle to balance their own ambitions and relationships against a tragic lie. You know - all about choices and concequences. (2000, not rated)
